Yoga Art

Awareness ... how can it heal the mind, body and spirit? In such simple practices as drawing or painting, our potential for self-renewal is revealed. Grounded in bodily wisdom, both yoga and art can transform our lives deeply. With this intention, Yoga Art classes combine breathwork, meditation and guided visualization to enrich one's experience of the senses and to inspire us to create art.

All children make art as a way to express their emotion, dreams and fears.  Art is a universal facet of human expression. When encouraged, creativity allows children to develop self-awareness, decrease stress, and increase feelings of self-esteem, safety and social skills.
The YogArt Kids program integrates movement with visual arts to evoke childrens' original potential for curiosity, fun, balance, joy and harmony.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift
and the rational mind is a faithful servant.
We have created a society that honors
the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
