One World Wellness is a healing space and holistic education center rooted in simple Taoist principles.

We specialize in SunDo, a practice which is a style of Taoist yoga & breath meditation. SunDo
 focuses on breathing deeply using the lower abdomen while holding postures to build Qi, or vital life energy. Stretching sequences are done before and after meditation. Beginners' classes include modifications for individual needs with emphasis on moving into more advanced classes at your own pace. Please see classes and registration to sign up for a SunDo class or class series.

The SunDo practice originates from an ancient mountain tradition in Korea, in which Taoist ascetics used highly advanced breathwork to purify their Qi (life energy) thereby attaining great health and longevity. In addition to a health practice, SunDo can also become a spiritual discipline for higher consciouness if practiced consistently over time.

One World Wellness director, Christine Ucich came to practice SunDo as a way to cultivate stillness through meditation. After studying the Chinese healing & martial arts of tai chi, qi gong & kung fu, Christine choos to teach SunDo practice because of its emphasis on combining internally-focused breath meditation with postures.

Certified as an instructor in 2004 and a senior instructor in 2013, she studies directly under Taoist Master Hyunmoon Kim, founder of SunDo International which is an organization with several SunDo Centers in the US, Canada and Europe.
Christine hopes One World Wellness will become a space where a community can grow around the practice & study of Taoism. Learn more about SunDo practice ...

Her teacher, Master Kim trained with the mountain Taoist hermit Bekyung, Master Hyunmoon Kim became one of twelve masters in the world sanctioned to teach SunDo practice. As a form of Mountain Taoism, it is based on self-cultivation and depends on a practitioner's dedication to consistent practice and an inner process of self-development.

the wind blows through you,
the sun shines in you,
and you realize you are not your body;
you are everything.”
