Enjoy an invigorating & relaxing yoga practice at the beautiful East Haven Town Beach to raise money for the adoptable dogs and cats at the East Haven Animal Shelter. These wonderful animals hope to be adopted into caring homes, but until then, they need our help!
All you need to do is make a suggested donation of $20 or more... and then enjoy the salty ocean air, relax to the sound of waves on the beach and gaze at the endless sky while practicing yoga! This seaside class begins by focusing on the breath while moving through a series of Vinyasa postures to stretch and warm the body. Postures will range from basic to intermediate level with modifications made for beginners. During the second half of class, slow down with a Yin Yoga practice to nurture the breath in gentle, meditative postures. Seaside Yoga classes meet Tuesday evenings on June 9, 16, 23 & 30. Meet near the East Haven Town Beach picnic tables on the grassy area from 7:00-8:15 PM. Please bring a mat & a blanket. Weather: If rain on June 9, class is cancelled and can be redeemed at One World Wellness & Yoga until July 15. If rain on June 16, 23 or 30, classes will be held inside the Community Beach House at the East Haven Town Beach. Parking: Beach lot parking is available for all town residents and non-residents free of charge after 6 pm. Come help support an amazing project that brings adoptable shelter animals and prospective adopters together in a way that could possibly last a lifetime... Namaste

East Haven Animal Shelter is currently launching an exciting initiative to build a pavilion on their site which will shelter the animals and their prospective adopters in a more relaxed outdoor environment.
In addition, prospective adopters will be able to bring any current pets in their household to the pavilion area where they can determine whether the animals will get along well together. The new pavilion will greatly improve the chances of the animals being adopted by caring individuals looking for a lovable pet! Learn more about this project... |

RosieRosie is very active and funny. Folks at the shelter can't agree on what breeds she is so your guess is as good as theirs. She is 3 years old and very good with other dogs!

PepperPepper is a sweet boy! He survived being hit by two cars and is still just as affectionate as a cat can be. He loves to cuddle, has beautiful soft fur, and enjoys people. A real lap cat!
