“Change your posture and you change the way you breathe.
Change your breathing and you change your nervous system.
This is one of the great lessons of yoga: Everything is connected…
”
~ Timothy McCall, M.D., author of Yoga as Medicine

“When you practice, your perspective on your body, your thoughts, and your whole sense of self can change…”
~ Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., Stress Reduction Clinic at UMass Medical Center

Session Overview
At One World Wellness, we hold space so that people can make time for themselves and find a place of quiet relaxation.  The workshop features discussion topics about meditation and participants are invited to try various practices including  SunDo, a Taoist yoga with breathing meditation. You may experience benefits like:

Renewed Energy
Regular exercise and breathing routines can bring more vital life energy into our system, which in turn enhances your productivity, mood and overall well-being.

Healing Breathwork
Shallow breathing can lead to heightened stress levels. Deep breathing  decreases anxiety, calms the mind, focuses awareness and oxygenates the blood.

New Perspectives
Discussions will explore ideas that re-inforce positive behaviors to help us lead healthier lifestyles.

Focused Meditation
SunDo meditation uses relaxing rhythmic music to center the mind on the breath.  Many beginner students find that this type of focused meditation is much easier to practice and maintain over time.
