Mantras give the mind a focus during meditation and allow communication between the intuitive mind and the body’s energy system. During this type of meditation, you'll be able to stay in the present moment while speaking or listening to repetitive chanting (mantras). Combined with yoga and breath, mantras make the perfect addition to this introductory class series.

Upon arrival, spend a few minutes creating an altar space with special objects that you've brought to class. An altar reminds us of the values and higher goals we want to uphold. After about 30 minutes of yoga postures and breathwork, shift into mantra meditations which includes: chanting Om, the Chakra seed sounds and mantras for daily life. Each weekly class features a daily mantra to foster positive, healthy living from the Buddhist, Taoist or Hindu traditions.
